Google has a long tradition of changing their Doodle (the logo displayed on the search page) to celebrate different national and/or cultural events. Christmas, Valentine's Day and Monet's birthday – all have been subjects to Google's team of illustrators.

The illustrations themselves however, are (in my opinion) rarely worth celebrating – unexciting and graphically not my style at all. Until now. The daily Doodles for the ongoing Winter Olympics are nothing short of brilliant!

Finding out who is behind these illustrations has been kind of hard, but it seems to be Dennis Hwang, Manager of Google's webmasters.

So, sit back and enjoy some of the best graphics ever to be featured on a search engine. I'll be updating daily with each new illustration, so be sure to check back regularly.
